Activity Requirements

Last updated 11 October 2026

These are the minimum device and software requirements we target for Daily Giveaways games played as a Discord Activity, including SPELLBOUND, CROSSBONES, CARVE and SLASHER.

They apply to the games opened inside Discord. Reading server messages or using ordinary bot commands does not require the same hardware.

Phones and tablets

Use the current stable Discord app. Our Activity support baseline is higher than the minimum needed to install Discord.

iPhone

iPhone 12 series or newer, or iPhone SE (3rd generation, 2022).

iOS 18 or later, with the latest updates available for your device.

Android

Samsung Galaxy A54 5G / Google Pixel 6 class performance or better, with at least 6 GB of physical RAM.

Android 13 or later. Keep Discord, Android System WebView and Chrome updated, where available on your device.

Virtual or extended RAM does not count towards this minimum. A newer model or enough RAM alone does not establish equivalent performance. Devices must ship with Google Play Services.

iPad

A14 Bionic or newer, or an Apple M-series chip. Examples include iPad (10th generation), iPad Air (4th generation) and iPad mini (6th generation).

iPadOS 18 or later, with the latest updates available for your device.

PC, Mac and Linux

Use the current stable Discord desktop app on a supported operating system. For Activity games, we recommend 8 GB of RAM or more and up-to-date graphics drivers.

Windows

Windows 10 or later, using the 64-bit Discord app.

macOS

macOS 12 Monterey or later.

Linux

Discord lists Ubuntu 20.04+, Debian 11+, openSUSE 16.2+ and Fedora Linux 32+.

These desktop OS versions follow Discord’s published requirements, checked on 11 October 2026. Being able to run Discord does not guarantee that every Activity will run smoothly on the same computer.

Playing in a browser

We recommend the Discord app. On desktop, use a current stable version of Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari or Opera supported by Discord. Browser availability and Activity features can vary by operating system.

Discord in a mobile browser is not supported. Open the Discord app on your phone or tablet instead. Beta operating systems, modified clients and rooted or jailbroken devices are outside our support baseline.

Older devices and performance

Devices below our minimum requirements may still launch an Activity. We do not guarantee compatibility or provide device-specific fixes for unsupported setups.

The listed models are hardware reference points, not a claim that every model and software combination has been tested. Meeting the minimum does not guarantee a particular frame rate or uninterrupted play. Available memory, battery-saving settings, device temperature, other apps and your connection can all affect performance.

Games may automatically reduce visual effects or rendering resolution to keep play responsive. The game rules, controls and scoring remain the same.
